All Echelon agents operate as independent contractors under the terms of an Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA). The ICA governs commission structures, residual ownership, chargeback provisions, termination terms, and post-termination residual rights. Full ICA terms are provided to approved applicants during the onboarding process.
Commission percentages are established per-agent based on tier, product mix, and volume. Residuals accrue on a recurring basis and are subject to adjustment for chargebacks and refunds within specified windows. Post-termination residual rights vary by termination type and are detailed in the full agreement.
Echelon agents are independent contractors, not employees. Agents are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licensing fees, and business expenses. Echelon does not provide employee benefits, W-2 income, or employer-sponsored insurance.
Income figures, ranges, and projections presented on this website are estimates based on representative agent performance under specific conditions. Individual results vary significantly based on market, effort, client retention, geographic area, product mix, and experience level. Echelon Institute does not guarantee any specific level of income or earnings. Past performance by other agents does not guarantee future results.
Echelon Institute is a proprietary internal sales training and certification program operated by Arrowhead Advisory Group LLC. Echelon certifications are internal designations and are not accredited by or affiliated with any federal, state, or regional accreditation body. Licensing tracks (P&C Insurance, Life and Health, Series 65/66) prepare agents for examinations administered by external regulatory bodies. Echelon does not administer these exams or grant these licenses.
